Inscription is insanely good money-making right now, because glyphs are single-use and if you want to respec or change them around you need to buy new glyphs. And with dual spec they have two glyph sets to fill out anyway.

In Cataclysm, once you buy a glyph, you learn it permanently and will never need to buy the same one again. It'll go in your spellbook and you'll be able to use it without buying another one, thereby taking a huge chunk out of the glyph market.

Evidently, instead of trying to work around this and make a realistic way for inscription to make money, Blizzard have just decided to give you a random chance of making some really expensive vendor trash.
